On a sunny Saturday in the spring of 2008 a group of local outdoor enthusiasts gathered at the Beachburg County Forest to begin a volunteer trail clean-up. In four hours more than 5 truckloads of garbage (paint cans, recyclables, broken
glass, animal remains, old washers and dryers, toilets, unwanted brush, etc...) was picked up and brought to the landfill. Since then, that same group of volunteers vowed to never let these trails become so neglected and thus was the formation of BORCA, a group of people who would help protect the current recreational resources and build more trails for all to enjoy. In the last 7 years, we have created over 20km of trails.

BORCA is a not-for-profit association comprised of local outdoor enthusiasts, who's goal it is to develop purpose-built mountain biking singletrack, for non-motorized, self-propelled use, within the Whitewater Township. As advocates for sustainable trail development which  brings economic and social benefits to an area, BORCA strives to maintain local trails through strong volunteer-based initiatives.

We are a proud supporter of the International Mountain Bicycling Association (IMBA).
